The Shadow roll-on is described as ‘one of the lightest’ in Amcor’s range, and it is expected to reduce the amount of plastic required in the manufacturing process.
Both the polyethylene bottle and polypropylene closure are designed for recyclability wherever the appropriate infrastructure exists. Each component can reportedly contain up to 60% post-consumer recycled plastic.
The pack’s rounded base design is expected to unlock a ‘strong’ on-shelf presence, with various colour options and an ‘extensive’ labelling area set to help companies meet their branding requirements.
Altogether, the roll-on is set to protect the product, avoid leakages, and combine durability with a lightweight construction. This format is also anticipated to benefit consumers through practicality and ease of use.
“Packaging solutions for the beauty sector must balance aesthetics, functionality and improved sustainability,” explained Lara Alemany, product line director at Amcor Global Rigids Packaging Solutions. “The Shadow roll-on demonstrates our expertise in developing robust solutions that can be easily adapted in line with latest consumer trends.
“With our many manufacturing sites and ability to supply both large and small orders, we are ideally placed to support customers throughout Europe.”
